Remote engineering for clients outside India

I'm Dinesh Kumar G, an automation engineer in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. I design control panels in EPLAN, program PLCs and HMIs, and write industrial software in Rust for machine builders, panel shops and plants anywhere. You deal directly with the engineer who does the work, by email, WhatsApp and video call.

Your time and mine

I work Mon–Sat, 10:00–19:00 IST. This is where those hours fall for you today, and how much of a 09:00–18:00 working day we share.

  • Gulf: most of your working day overlaps with mine, so calls and quick changes happen the same day.
  • Europe and the UK: your mornings are my afternoons, which is when we talk.
  • Singapore and Australia: your afternoons overlap with the end of my day.
  • North America: there is little overlap, so the work runs asynchronously. Send drawings, I/O lists or a change request at the end of your day; I work on it during mine and reply in writing, so it is waiting when you start. A short call fits at the start of your morning, the end of my day.

Work I do remotely

How a remote project runs

  1. We discuss the job by email, WhatsApp or a video call in shared hours. I sign your NDA first if you need one.
  2. I send a written scope with deliverables, price and timeline.
  3. I share drawings or specifications for your approval through a shared folder or Git.
  4. I build and test: offline simulation of the PLC program, or a test against your I/O list.
  5. Commissioning runs with your team on site and me on a video call.
  6. Handover: native files, documents and the sequence description your team needs.

Files and tools

You get native files, not just PDFs: EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical projects drawn to IEC standards, PLC project archives (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, Omron Sysmac Studio, CODESYS and others), and source code in a Git repository. The full list is on the about page.

Proof

Payment and paperwork

GST invoice from ElectronIx for clients in India. Clients outside India pay by international bank transfer (SWIFT) or PayPal. Payment runs 30% to start, 40% after design approval and 30% on handover.

NDA on request; native files and source code handed over on final payment.

Questions

Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes, remotely. I share drawings and code through a shared folder or Git, and take calls in Indian working hours.
Which hours do you work?
Mon–Sat, 10:00–19:00 IST. The table on this page shows those hours in your time zone.
How do clients outside India pay?
By international bank transfer (SWIFT) or PayPal, against an invoice from ElectronIx, my registered sole proprietorship in India. Payment runs 30% to start, 40% after design approval and 30% on handover.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before you share drawings or code.
Who owns the drawings and code?
You do, after final payment. You get native files (EPLAN, AutoCAD, PLC project archives, source code), not just PDFs.
Can you come to our site?
No. On-site work is only within the Coimbatore region in India; for clients abroad, everything is done remotely, with commissioning support over a video call.

I reply within 1 working day.
